Committee
This active
group participates in and provides diverse educational opportunities
for adult members through events such as Torah study, book
discussions, Hebrew and Yiddish classes, overnight retreats,
and guest lectures. Planning for these activities and events
goes on all year 'round and new ideas are welcomed.

SUNDAY EVENING STUDY GROUP – March 7 & March 21 at 7:00 PM. Climbing Jacob’s Ladder: One Man’s Journey to Rediscover a Jewish Spiritual Tradition by Alan Morinis. (5?from Amazon) Mussar, a thousand-year-old Jewish spiritual tradition, offers answers to how one can become a better person through becoming acquainted with its teachings.
MOVIE & DISCUSSION WITH MATT GOLDISH – March 14 at 7:00 PM: The Outside Chance of Maximilian Glick. Maximilian Glick is an ordinary Jewish kid in a 1950's small town in Manitoba, Canada. The events of the movie take place while he is studying for his Bar Mitzvah.
SUNDAY MORNING BOOK CLUB – March 21 at 9:00 AM The group will discuss The Lemon Tree: An Arab, a Jew, and the Heart of the Middle East by Sandy Tolan, at Panera, 4619 North High Street, Clintonville location slightly north of Henderson Rd. south of Morse Rd.
TORAH STUDY - Each Saturday afternoon at 2:30 PM in the temple library. No prior Torah study necessary, only a desire to enjoy a moment of Shabbat holiness with fellow members of your congregation. JCC BOOKFAIR EVENT at Beth Tikvah – Tuesday, March 2, 7:00 PM Bryan Mark Rigg, author of Lives of Hitler's Jewish Soldiers: Untold Tales of Men of Jewish Descent Who Fought for the Third Reich will speak.
This companion volume to Rigg's very successful first book, Hitler's Jewish Soldiers, provides a closer look at the experiences of nearly two dozen of these soldiers, deepening our understanding of the complex intersection of Nazi race laws and German military service, before and during WWII. Bryan Mark Rigg is a former US Marine Corps officer and volunteer in the Israeli Army. His work has won the William E. Colby 13 Award for Military History, has been featured on NBC-TV's Dateline, and has been translated into eleven languages. ADULT HEBREW: A second year (intermediate) Adult Hebrew class is held on Thursday mornings from 10:30 – 11:30AM at Beth Tikvah. A beginning class meets Wednesday evenings from 7:00 – 8:00 PM. Call Karen Elson (885-6286) if you are interested in beginning or intermediate adult Hebrew classes.
