In this ongoing class, Rabbi Emeritus Gary Huber will guide reading of and reflection on the legendary tales of the impassioned Hasidic rebbes of the 18th-19th centuries.
The lives and teachings of these profound and enigmatic spiritual masters from Eastern Europe offer great insights for modern Jews. Each Hasidic tale is a spiritual gem, often in the form of a parable or allegory that can be retold for a modern audience. As always, our text study will be accompanied by much lively class discussion.
There is no charge for the class, but each student will need to purchase a copy of Martin Buber’s Ten Rungs: Collected Hasidic Sayings. It is available on Amazon in paperback.
Classes will be held each week, Nov. 7 – Dec. 19, except for Dec. 12. Please register by calling the office, 614.885.6286.
