This committee works closely with the education department staff to guide and oversee the operation of both the Religious and Hebrew School programs, as well as to organize and support special events for students and families.

Please consider joining the committee for our scheduled meetings: February 21 and April 24. The committee can provide a forum for parents to provide input on the educational experience of their children. We also welcome congregants who have an interest in the overall educational environment at Beth Tikvah.

From the April 2008 Tikvah Topics:

This committee works closely with the education department staff to guide and oversee the operation of both the Religious and Hebrew School programs, as well as to organize and support special events for students and families.

Please consider joining the committee for our meeting on April 24, 2008. The committee can provide a forum for parents to provide input on the educational experience of their children. We also welcome congregants who have an interest in the overall educational environment at Beth Tikvah.

Long-Range Planning for our future:

The Religious School Committee has begun a long-term planning process. Please join us and participate in brainstorming the long-range future of our education programs at our next meeting on May 1, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. Educating our children is a commandment that we are fulfilling. Over the past few months of experience on this committee, I have been fortunate to receive input from many fellow congregants about how they perceive the important issues facing Jewish education. We are looking at all these issues and establishing priorities for how the educational experience might evolve over the next few years.
