? MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT DATES The first day of Religious School is September 26, 2010. The first day of Hebrew School is September 22, 2010. First session parents, parents of 3rd grade students, and parents of students who are new to religious school should plan to stay on the first day of religious school for an orientation session.

SCHOOL SUPPIES NEEDED As you are doing your back-to-school shopping, please consider donating the following items to the Religious school: Artist’s Paintbrushes, Markers (thin and thick), Pencils and Pocket folders. Donations can be dropped off prior to the first day of Religious School in the box outside Debra Arenstein’s office.

? PARENTS MEETING PARENTS Are you interested in meeting other Beth Tikvah parents? BETH TIKVAH MOMS AND DADS will meet approximately once a month in Café Tikvah. Each month we will follow the Religious School curriculum and discuss the topic of the month for the first 20 minutes. Following the discussion we’ll have time to socialize as we enjoy the Brotherhood’s Big Breakfast. If you have a child who attends the first session of Religious School, join us in a fun, casual setting so that we can get to know each other better. The first meeting will be held on October 3, 2010, beginning at 9:00 AM. Siblings of children in first session are always welcome to attend. ? YOU ARE WELCOME! The Religious School Committee is open to all interested Beth Tikvah members. You are invited to join our committee and help make a difference in the lives of our religious school students. Please join us at Religious School committee meetings (see schedule above). If you would like to be part of the committee, but are unable to attend the scheduled meetings, please contact Andrea Adkins at adkinsa@wowway.com.

Parents and members are also welcome to volunteer during special Religious School activities, including (but not limited to) model Seders, Mitzvah Mall, and Israel Day. This is a great way to see our wonderful students and teachers in action.
